If you are having trouble uploading a file into Brightspace, it may be because the name is too long or has illegal characters.


Your file does not upload in Brightspace when:
  • The filename contains illegal characters. Rename your file and try uploading again if it contains the following characters:
\ / : * ? “ < > | ~ # % & ' { }
  • The file name is too long. We recommend that you keep the file name under 45 characters
